Suitex International is searching for the Sweater & Knit Technical Specialist for one of the most famous international fashion brand will be responsible for all technical aspects of sweaters and knitted products.

He/ She will be responsible for developing forward thinking and innovative ideas for Sweater and Cut & Sew knit development and will have a deep knowledge of all aspects of product construction and a thorough understanding of manufacturing costs and garment engineering when designing into a price points is required.

He/She should have a thorough knowledge of the best sweater and knit manufacturers worldwide. In addition to bring new ideas and innovation , this position will be expected to involved in setting product specifications and determining quality standards to protect & enhance brand reputation and ensure all garments are sourced, developed and produced to meet “Company Global Minimum Performance & Compliance Standards.” Skills/Requirements: this candidate must be a recognized technical expert in the sweater industry.

He/She must have a minimum of 15 years background in the industry working in a several different highly regarded manufacturing companies.
Must possess a thorough knowledge of sweater and knit product construction, manufacturing techniques and equipment.
A detailed and complete understanding of fabric and garment testing procedures for both sweaters and knit fabric is essential as well as a thorough knowledge of yarns and knit fabric structures. Must have a deep technical understanding of raw materials, fiber content, washing, dyeing, finishing processes as well as yarn treatments.
Ability to develop strong relationships with sweater and knit garment and fabric producers across USA, Europe and Asia. Must be flexible and capable of handling multiple tasks and to be able to prioritize tasks. Strong interpersonal skills to successfully negotiate with diverse suppliers and excellent team working skills are important to interact effectively with Company Corporate teams.

This position will require extensive of travelling – candidate must be able to travel internationally as and when needed. This role will be travelling to Asia, Europe and the USA and away from the home base at least 6 months of the year. Must speak fluent English.

Textile School Degree is preferred. Strong computer skills – PLM, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
